Management Team

Toby

Owner

Toby founded Monarch HVAC 24 years ago in his two-car garage, building it from the ground up. Before starting his company, he worked for 2 larger HVAC companies, honing his skills in the trade. Born in Glenwood Springs, Toby moved to Mesa County at a young age and grew up not far from where our shop stands today.


When he’s not hard at work, Toby enjoys spending time at home on his 4-acre property, going camping with his wife and grandson to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, and taking every opportunity to ride his Harley.

Aaron

nEW cONSTRUCTION pROJECT mANAGER

Aaron has been a dedicated member of the Monarch HVAC team for the past 14 years, dating back to when the company was still operating out of a garage. A true local, he was born and raised in the valley, bringing a strong background in construction and general contracting.


A devoted family man with three grown sons, Aaron embraces the great outdoors whenever he can. Whether he's hunting, fishing, or simply enjoying nature, he finds his greatest joy in being outside and making the most of every adventure.

Billy

fIELD oPERATIONS mANAGER

Billy has been a vital part of Monarch HVAC for 22 years. He began his career doing HVAC in Montrose in 2000 before moving to Grand Junction in 2001. He started in the sheet metal shop, worked as an installer in our rough-in department, and steadily advanced to his current role as Field Operations Manager, where he oversees and schedules our field installers.


A devoted husband to his high school sweetheart and a proud father of two daughters, Billy makes the most of every season. In the winter, he enjoys hitting the slopes skiing and snowmobiling, while the warmer months find him camping, hunting, and cruising on his Harley.

Natalie

Comfort Advisor / Estimator

Natalie has been a valued member of Monarch HVAC since 2019. She started as a dispatcher, quickly advanced into Quality Control, and has since grown into her current leadership role as a Comfort Advisor and Estimator. Originally pursuing a music degree in college, Natalie was an accomplished tuba player before shifting her career path.


Outside of work, she channels her creativity into her own wire-wrapping jewelry business. She also loves the outdoors, with hiking and disc golf among her favorite activities.

Shelby

Controller

Shelby is a valued member of Monarch HVAC, bringing her strong organizational skills and dedication to the team. She originally started her career in the medical field but sought a new challenge, quickly advancing from dispatcher to her current role as Office Manager.


A proud resident of the valley since 2005, Shelby is a devoted mother to three children and three dogs. In her free time, she loves getting creative with crafts, spending time with friends, and enjoying family nights with her children. Whether she's paddle boarding, camping, or lost in a good book, she always finds a way to make the most of every moment.

Tod

New Construction Designer

Tod has been a valued member of Monarch HVAC for 15 years, growing with the company every step of the way. He began in the sheet metal shop, gained hands-on experience with rough-in installations, and worked his way up to becoming Lead Estimator performing load calculations and designing duct systems. to ensure every room in your home receives the perfect airflow.


Known for his eclectic taste in music, you’ll often hear a mix of genres playing at his desk while he works. Born in Glenwood Springs and raised in Mesa County, Tod enjoys making the most of his time outside the office—whether he’s out 4-wheeling, camping, or staying closer to home to hit the golf course.

Christian

Bookkeeper

Christian joined Monarch HVAC in February 2026 after being introduced to the compay through a couple of friends who are currently employed with Monarch. He brings a diverse background that includes earning a bachelor’s degree in accounting and work experience spanning custodial services, tax preparation, and event preparation. At Monarch, Christian is focused on growing his skills and becoming a great bookkeeper for the company.


Outside of work, Christian enjoys shooting sports, writing, and painting models. Looking ahead, Christian hopes to continue developing professionally while working toward his personal goal of becoming a homeowner.

Quality Control Team

Liam

Quality Control Technician

Liam has been a dedicated member of Monarch HVAC for the past 4.5 years. He started as a Rough-In Installation Technician and recently transitioned into a role in Quality Control, where his attention to detail and hands-on skills continue to shine.


When he's not at work, Liam enjoys building intricate LEGO sets—especially when the weather keeps him indoors. But when the sun is out, you’ll find him making the most of it, whether it's playing disc golf with friends and family, hiking, four-wheeling, or just enjoying the outdoors in any way he can.

mathew

Quality Control/ Warehouse Manager

Mathew has been an integral part of Monarch HVAC for the past four years, advancing through multiple roles, including delivery driver, dispatcher, service manager, warehouse/shop fabricator, and now warehouse manager and quality control specialist. His versatility and dedication have made him a key asset to our team.


Mathew previously worked in the Entertainment Industry, bringing a unique background to his role. Outside of work, he enjoys forging steel, playing Dungeons & Dragons, and maintaining a strong focus on health and fitness. His commitment to daily healthy habits and regular gym sessions keeps him at the top of his game.

Service Team

gavin

Service Technician

Gavin joined the Monarch HVAC team in June 2025 after hearing about the company from a friend who already worked here. He comes to us with a solid background—having attended Delta High School and Intellitec College for HVAC, plus experience working at a hardware store.


Outside of work, Gavin enjoys an active lifestyle. You can often find him at the gym, playing disc golf, fishing, hunting, or camping. He especially loves spending time in the mountains.


At Monarch HVAC, Gavin’s goal is to continue learning the trade and growing into an even better technician. We’re excited to have him on the team!

Nathan

Service Technician

Nathan joined the Monarch HVAC team in February 2025 after discovering the opportunity through Indeed. He brings a solid background to the role, having attended CMU Tech for his EPA License and starting his career in rough-in work before moving into service.


Nathan’s goal at Monarch HVAC is to continue learning and growing as a service technician, and we’re excited to see him thrive!


Outside of work, you’ll often find Nathan spending time with his girlfriend and their two cats, playing video games, or watching football and basketball.

Lucas

Service Technician

Lucas joined the Monarch HVAC team in January 2025 and has been all about learning and growing ever since. A graduate of Intellitech’s HVAC program, he came to Monarch after being introduced to the company through a friend and is focused on becoming the best HVAC technician he can be. Lucas brings a strong work ethic and a drive to master his craft, always looking to expand his skills and knowledge.


When he’s not on the job, you’ll likely find him snowboarding, hitting the gym, bowling, golfing, or taking care of yard work — he’s someone who likes to stay active year-round.

Joey

Service Technician

Joseph joined the Monarch HVAC team in May 2025 after being introduced to the company through a friend from school. He’s currently finishing his associate degree with a focus on HVAC, building a strong foundation in both the technical and hands-on sides of the trade.


Motivated and eager to grow, Joseph’s goal is to move into service, continue learning everything he can, and build a long, successful career in the HVAC field. He takes pride in developing his skills and being someone customers and teammates can rely on.


Outside of work, Joseph stays active and loves anything that gets him outdoors. You’ll often find him at the gym, playing disc golf, or spending time in the mountains enjoying the fresh air and scenery.

Ashton

Installation Technician

Ashton joined Monarch HVAC at the start of this year and has quickly earned the respect of his teammates through his professionalism, strong work ethic, and maturity beyond his years. With a background in renovations and construction, he brings valuable hands-on experience to the team. Ashton has a genuine passion for working with his hands and is highly motivated to grow within the company, with aspirations to become a lead technician in the near future.


Outside of work, Ashton enjoys snowboarding, one of his favorite pastimes. He also loves to travel, go hiking, and spend time outdoors whenever he can.

Bryce

Installation Technician

Bryce joined Monarch HVAC three years ago, driven by the opportunity to build a rewarding career in the trades. Since then, he has been dedicated to honing his skills and is eager to continue growing within the company, striving to reach his full potential.


Outside of work, Bryce is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking and disc golf. He also has a passion for firearms and, most of all, anything related to trucks—whether it’s building, racing, admiring, or driving them, he’s always up for the thrill.

Ethan

Installation Technician

Ethan has been a vital part of Monarch HVAC for 10+ years, wearing many hats throughout his tenure. He has done it all and now serves as one of our Rough-In Installation Technician leads. His wealth of experience and dedication make him an invaluable member of our team.


Ethan’s ultimate goal is to retire as soon as possible, but until then, he makes the most of his downtime. He enjoys camping, shooting, golfing, traveling, and indulging in great food. When he’s not outdoors, you can often find him unwinding with video games.

Jon

Installation Technician

Jon has been a valued member of Monarch HVAC since 2021, bringing a strong mechanical background from his previous career as a motorcycle mechanic. He began in the field as a Rough-In Installation Technician before transitioning to the warranty department, where he leveraged his mechanical expertise to master diagnosing, repairing, and servicing residential HVAC systems. Today, Jon plays a key role as our Add-On Replacement Manager, working closely with our Comfort Advisor to ensure top-quality service.


A devoted father, Jon prioritizes spending time with his family whenever possible. When he finds a moment for himself, he enjoys the outdoors—especially hitting the trails on his dirt bike.

Kipp

Installation Technician

Kipp has been an essential part of Monarch HVAC for the past six years, taking on various roles that showcase his versatility and expertise. He started with trim installations, worked as a rough-in installation technician, returned to trim, moved into Quality Control, and most recently transitioned into the role of Warranty Technician.


Beyond work, Kipp enjoys spending time with friends, but his true passion lies in fly fishing. He takes great pride in crafting his own fishing ties, combining skill and creativity to enhance his time on the water.

Kipp

Installation Technician

Logan joined Monarch HVAC a year ago, seeking a career change and the opportunity to master a valuable trade. He currently works as an Installation Technician on both our Rough-In and Add-On Replacement crews, eager to learn everything he can and continue growing in the field.



A devoted father to three young daughters, Logan loves spending time with them, especially teaching them how to fish. His goal? To make sure they can out-fish the boys every time!

Michael

Installation Technician

Michael has been a vital member of the Monarch HVAC team for the past two years. With a background in the oil field and a desire for a new direction, he joined our company with no prior knowledge of HVAC. Since then, he has developed a true passion for the trade and has turned it into a fulfilling career. Through hard work and determination, Michael has risen to a leadership role within our Installation crews and has set his sights on advancing into management.


Outside of work, Michael is a devoted father and partner. He enjoys spending time outdoors riding dirt bikes, hunting, fishing, going on family trips, and bowling.

Nick

Installation Technician

Nick has been a dedicated member of Monarch HVAC for the past 4.5 years, joining the team through an introduction from our Shop Foreman. Before coming on board, he gained hands-on experience installing windows and working with sheet metal, skills that have served him well in his role as a Rough-In Installation Technician. Committed to his growth, Nick is determined to advance within the company and has his sights set on a future in management.


Outside of work, Nick has a true passion for rock hounding, always on the lookout for unique and fascinating geological treasures.

Nikko

Installation Technician

Nikko joined Monarch HVAC a year and a half ago in search of a new trade, bringing experience from the oil field industry. Since high school, he knew he wanted to pursue a skilled trade, and he’s been a dedicated member of our Add-On Replacement (AOR) team since day one. With strong ambition and a drive to grow, he’s eager to work his way up as high as possible within the company.


Outside of work, Nikko has a need for speed—you’ll often find him cruising on his motorcycle, making the most of his downtime on the open road.

Tommy

Installation Technician

Tommy has been a valued member of Monarch HVAC for about 2.5 years, joining the team in search of a new career path. Before making the switch, he worked as a CNC machinist, bringing precision and technical expertise to his role.


Outside of work, Tommy loves spending time outdoors, hanging out with family, bowling, and hitting the course for a round of disc golf whenever he gets the chance.

Trey

Installation Technician

Trey joined Monarch HVAC just under a year ago, transitioning from a career as a tree trimmer in search of new opportunities. With a long-held dream of becoming a firefighter, he brings dedication and ambition to everything he does. As he continues to learn the trade, he’s focused on excelling in his role and working his way up within the company.


In the winter, Trey enjoys kicking back and binge-watching his favorite shows. But once the warmer months roll in, you’ll find him outdoors, making the most of his time fishing, paddle boarding, and embracing any adventure that comes his way.

Nate

Installation Technician

Nathan brings a strong work ethic and hands-on experience to the Monarch HVAC team. A graduate of Uintah High School, Nathan worked oil field jobs in Vernal, Utah, and gained additional trade experience as a sandblaster before completing the Intellitec HVAC program. He’s also worked in home comfort services and continues to build his skills every day with a goal of becoming a well-rounded, top-level HVAC technician.



When he’s not helping customers stay comfortable, Nathan is all about the outdoors. He enjoys fishing year-round, hiking with his dogs, riding and training horses, and spending time adventuring with his wife. Looking ahead, he hopes to grow his career, start a family, and one day buy land to build a small homestead farm.

Joe

Installation Technician

Joe joined the Monarch HVAC team in May 2025, after being introduced to the company through Landmark Staffing. He brings a strong background in factory work, where he spent much of his time as a machine operator.


When he’s not working, Joe enjoys camping, hiking, and snowboarding. He also loves to read and learn about new topics. His goal with Monarch HVAC is to gain enough experience and knowledge to one day start his own company.


Outside of work, you can often find Joe hiking or swimming, making the most of the great outdoors!

Shop Technician

Tom joined Monarch HVAC a year ago, bringing a strong background as a CNC lathe operator from his previous career in a machine shop. Seeking a new path, he quickly became a valuable member of our team.


In his free time, Tom loves spending quality time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. An outdoor enthusiast, he enjoys camping, four-wheeling, and the thrill of drag racing.
